Robert Wieczynski, founder and owner of Copernicus Home Creations is a contractor who is a perfectionist to a fault. As a teenager growing up in Poland, where resources were scarce, he was able to work in electronics industry throughout high school. Having saved some money, he invested into a small wood-shop, where he began his adventure with woodwork and furniture building. His first project, as a teenager, was a striking dining room furniture set: a wooden tile-top kitchen table with a set of six beautifully carved wooden chairs (two decades later, the set is still in use by his family in Poland).
Robert completed his high-school education in Torun, the city where Nicolaus Copernicus (also known to have been a perfectionist) was born. Since Poland was a developing country with limited possibilities for talented youth, Robert decided to move to the country of the greatest opportunities, the United States, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Mercer University. Throughout the university years Robert continued to work in the construction industry and has completed thousands of projects by himself before starting to delegate some of the work to the subcontractors. Robert has an amazing expertise into all aspects of the home building process and unlike many other general contractors where their trade knowledge comes mostly from the “books” and seldom from experience, Robert is extremely hands on, knows his trade from inside out and would never sacrifice quality of his products over any other variables.
Robert’s strive for perfection, the need to perform the work well and in a timely fashion were always in high demand and this is how and why Copernicus Home Creations was established. One referral led to another and Robert has built a reputation as not only an excellent GC, but also a person that homeowners wanted and enjoyed to work with. Copernicus Home Creations is now full-service general construction company and Robert’s reliability, hard work, excellent trade knowledge and high customer satisfaction have always been the staple and pride of the Copernicus Home Creations.
